Put a fire in this little 331 SBF this evening in Dylan’s 66 Mustang. Been a long time coming. Robert “Big Chief” Leachman was talking to us tonight through this engine that he built for Dylan before he passed away. I sure miss that guy.

Finally made some good progress on the ‘66 Mustang. That steering rack has been a lot of trouble, but we finally got it. Also got the headers installed, and the drive shaft back and installed.

A lot of people ask what oil I run in my race car. This is it. Getting the old Hot Rod ready for some bracket action this year.

Transmission cooler is mounted in the square body. I think everything is done. Time to send her home so it can get ready for race season.

New drive shaft loop for the square body is built and installed, old one is history. Got the rear quarter panel supports built and installed as well. A few more little details and she’ll be heading home for race season.

Other side all fabricated up. Primary tubes all welded. I’ll pull it off tomorrow and weld the flanges and collector. That’s a couple of hours of welding just for that.
