A couple of Moto Guzzi V7 Sport seats came in for a cleaned up. With work like this, the goal is subtlety.

*Seat pans cleaned and repainted.
*Scratches, rips and holes disappeared.
*silver trim removed.
*vinyl cleaned and conditioned.

MZ ISDT replica tank bag in black Horween Chromexcel. Featuring an expanding clear window map pocket, elastic tool keeper, coffee brown suede lining hiding a metal insert, and tie down straps.

Last year, aka brought me an original tank bag to restore (see last photo and earlier post), which I patterned while I was at it, to make him a second one for a second MZ.

With the exception of my choice of oil tanned Horween for its beautiful contrast interior instead of veg tan leather, every detail is as close to the original as possible including the brown suede lining which I was sure was black but turned out to just be very well… loved.

I love a niche project, and will have these available in the .meccanica shop shortly in several finishes for all those MZ owners out there! 🤣 Custom orders are of course always welcome, and I’m pretty sure these can be mounted to more than just MZs. Stay tuned on that!

Front and rumble seats installed in the Old’s Cool Choppers ‘29 Hotrod.

Anthony and I worked closely on this project to ensure that the final upholstered pieces fit the car perfectly. The seat bases are 3” high density foam, the backs are 2”, covered in caramel faux leather with raised rib stitching.

In the process, he came up with the cleanest rumble seat back cushion mount that I’ve ever seen! The metal side panels fill in the trunk lid curve and match the car’s interior panels which are aluminum.
