DeTray's Manufactured and Modular Homes It all started in 1952 when my parents, Paul and Phyllis DeTray, purchased a 1946 Spartan trailer which they pulled behind their 1951 Ford Sedan.

"The Best Homes for Less"

Modern, high-quality manufactured and modular homes featuring Skyline and Kit manufacturers, built with the finest materials, custom features, and delivered to fit your timeline and budget anywhere in the state of Washington. In 1954, they outgrew the Spartan and stepped up to a 35-foot Roll-A-Home for the outrageous price of $4,100.00. My parents raised 5 children in a single wide trailer; imagine that! Paul & Phyllis graduated from Puyallup High School and started a career in the mobile home business in 1962. They hold claim to the title, "oldest retailer still operating in the northwest." My mother and father purchased a 20 x 55 Ocean- Sider. It was the first double wide to be brought into the state of Washington by a dealer to sell. My parents describe their venture in the manufactured home business, from 1962-2002, as a great life. The DeTray family believes in the homes that we sell. Today, I can honestly say that every one of my siblings and myself, either live in a manufactured home or have owned one in the past. We have been blessed to create very comfortable surroundings to raise our families. Recently three members of the third generation have purchased manufactured homes for their new beginnings. The torch to the family business was passed to the second generation in 2002 when my parents retired. I, Dana DeTray and my wife Diane continue the tradition of providing our customers with quality homes and great service. Customer satisfaction is Job # 1; we treat our customers like we want to be treated. This is what has always set DeTray's apart from others. The DeTray family has been helping families create better lifestyles for nearly five decades now. DeTray's Custom Housing LLC offers you, the customer, competitive prices, quality, great service, and 3 product lines to choose from with over 100 floor plans. We will assist you with financing, finding a site, and getting construction cost. Let us help you create a home, which will fit your families' needs, call us today at 253-840-6773.

We specialize in detached ADU’s with many floor plans and designs to fit your needs. https://detrayscustomhousing.com/adu-accessory-dwelling-units/

Recent code updates now allow for up to two Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) per property with less development restrictions, making it easier for homeowners to add small, independent secondary living spaces located on the same property as a single-family home.

Interested in building an ADU? The South Sound Housing Affordability Partners website has launched a regional ADU Development Hub with guidance, resources, and planning tools to help homeowners navigate the process: https://southsoundaffordablehousing.org/accessory-dwelling-unit-development/
