I want to state something before someone tries to defame me and my work on anyone's motorcycle. I had a gentleman bring his bike to me for a list of accessories to be installed with most everything being painted parts. I performed the work with patience and respect to this person as I do everyone that entrust me with their bike. After working on the bike I wiped the bike down with my F11 top coat which allows me to see the work and any flaws if there are any. He arrives to pick up his bike. I explain what was done and what needs to be done etc. 8 hours later I get a message with photos attached claiming that I damaged his master cylinder on his handlebar. I clearly knowing that I did absolutely nothing work related on that part of the bike denied his claim. We go back and forth over this issue for quite a while through text messages. The gentleman then sent me pics of the bike before he dropped it off that he took days prior. The bike has different mirrors on it in his pic that what were on the bike when I received it. And if noticed there are different pegs shifter lever ect that are different from that time than when it was delivered. He admitted he had "messed with it" (switches and headlight) prior to bringing it to me. After blowing up his pic it is very clear that the damage he's claiming I did were there before I received the bike. After pointing this obvious claim was false on his part he went silent. There is a reason that I take pics of the work that I do on a bike. It allows me to see what I did and what I didn’t do. But thankfully this person took a pic beforehand and sent it to me so that I could prove that I didn’t damage his bike.
This is only the second time in 25 years I have had someone claim that I damaged their bike when I knew without a hesitation that I did not. I always treat everyone's bike as my own which is why maybe I haven't had any issues like this. And I will clearly own any mistakes that I may do. Im not perfect by any means. But I respect others property like I would expect from anyone else.
All this to state I'm NOT guilty as charged!
A THOUSAND GOOD JOBS CAN BE RUINED BY ONE PERSON WITH A FALSE CLAIM.
