September is quickly slipping away! Call today to schedule your inspection. There’s no charge if it fails and we charge $50 for a passed inspection.

2 weeks ago the guys took on a job that not many others would want to touch. They replaced the exhaust manifolds on a 1997 Ford F150. It wasn’t easy, but they won the battles with broken and rusty bolts and got the job done.

The shop saw a little bit of everything last week. Concrete, their new favorite repair - replacing the locking mechanism in my van door, tracking down and replacing an ignition issue in a 1987 Ford F250, ball joints, brakes, inspections, oil changes and more.

Did you know that manufacturers recommend some in-depth service and maintenance for your vehicle, beyond the routine stuff we all know about like oil changes and tire rotations?

This GM 2.4L is recommemded to have timing chain service or replacement at around 100,000 miles. A rattling at start up is also a sign that it may be time for this service. The timing chain/belt gets worn out over time. If it fails before it is replaced it will cause catastrophic engine damage.

This vehicle came with a rattle and was over the recommended mileage, so the guys replaced the sprockets, guides, tensioners and chains this week, which took care of the rattle and greatly extended the life of the motor.
