This Moose has gone through quite the transformation. Before … and After. Mike started with a complete avionics upgrade, we then put our PT6 turbine 550 SHP conversion on it with a brand new monster MT 4 blade prop from Larry at McFarland, he then brought the airplane to Moose Mods for many airframe upgrades including seaplane doors, from there it went to the paint shop for this stunning and timeless paint job. Congratulations, Mike, we hope you enjoy it for thousands of hours of flying up north!

Major upgrades are happening here on this Helio Courier today! The P&W PT6A-20 turbine engine was just hung on our TMCX engine mount and the MT 4-blade propeller is next. Once that’s done, we’ll start hooking up the engine and propeller.

Flight testing this T-Moose has really been remarkable. It’s a top-notch build and the lowest time Moose I have ever seen. Only 60 hours total time since new. It has many Moose Mods airframe upgrades including seaplane doors, extended baggage with the extended baggage door, overhead flap handle, beefed up tail section, tundra tires, Alaska bush tail wheel, double shoulder harnesses, 120-gallon fuel capacity, VG's, and a beautiful paint job. Also includes our TMCX PT6A-20 turbine engine conversion, a new MT 4-blade 96" fully-reversible propeller and a Garmin G3X IFR panel with Garmin 750 and 2-axis auto pilot. We should be able to finish up the flight testing today and then it’s all ready to take on some amazing summer adventures!
