Happy 4th of July! Remember, freedom isn’t free. Thank you to all who have served our country and fought to preserve our life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.
It is God who inspired men to found this country and it is Him who sustains it.
May each of you be richly blessed as we celebrate the birth date of America.

Have you ever heard of CarFax? It’s not only to see if the car you are interested in to buy checks out for accidents, etc. It is also for repair shops as well.
We are a CarFax affiliated shop. What does that mean? Well, every time you have a repair or service done, it goes into the CarFax data base. If you should ever move all of that information is available for you or another shop to look up service history.
We also look up CarFax history when we see a vehicle for the first time so we can have a baseline for the recommended maintenance and that we are not performing unneeded services.
Just another way Armstrong Automotive is doing our best to make sure your car is treated the way it should be. Blessings.

A car trivia question for you all. Air bags have saved countless lives over the years. Do you happen to know what the first car to have air bags was and what year? It may be earlier than you think!

The answer is…wait for it…drum roll…

GM's Oldsmobile Toronado. It was the first domestic U.S. vehicle to include a passenger airbag in 1973. General Motors marketed its first airbag modules under the "Air Cushion Restraint System" name, or ACRS.

Were you close on your guess? Leave what year you thought air bags first appeared in the comments. Blessings to you all!

We’re so excited! Our new website is now live and it has some incredible features. I think the coolest one is the “MY GARAGE” button at the top of the page. If you’ve ever been a customer and we have your phone number or email in our system, you can use the MY GARAGE button and look up the service history for any of your vehicles! It is really slick.
If you’ve been a customer please try it out, we would love to get your feedback on the site and the features.
If you’ve never been a customer, consider this an invitation to try us out. We’d love to have the opportunity to earn your business.
Blessings to all.

Hope all of you Mothers had a blessed Mother’s Day.
Our mothers birthed us, fed and clothed us, cared for us when we were sick, and even as adults still give us wise counsel.
Please remember to thank your mom for all she has done for you.

Have you ever had a turn signal that flashes a lot faster than normal? The problem is usually quite simple…a burned out bulb. This is designed in by the manufacturer as a notice to the driver.
Here at Armstrong Automotive, every time we see your vehicle we do a full vehicle inspection which includes a full exterior light bulb check so you know you are safe and seen by other drivers. Drop in anytime and we’ll do a light check for free!

A few weeks ago, I shared a few of my favorite, funny car name acronyms. So, to start off the week on a funny note, I thought I would share a few more:

BMW-Broke My Wallet
GMC-Gotta Mechanic Coming
HONDA-How Odd, No Darn Acceleration
JEEP-Just Empty Every Pocket

And just so everyone knows I am not picking on them if you own one of the above, I own an Audi:

AUDI-Always Unsafe Designs Implemented

Remember to laugh, it’s good for the soul. Hope you have a great week!

What is ASE Certification?
It is a voluntary testing program for automotive technicians. It involves a series of tests from multiple categories including brakes, suspension, air conditioning, manual and automatic transmissions, drivetrain, engine repair, fuel and computers, and electrical and electronics. It requires recertification every 5 years to keep up on the latest technology. At Armstrong Automotive, we have two ASE Master Technicians which means that have passed all eight areas! One of our Master Technicians is also an Advanced Level Specialist which is an upper echelon category.
It is not a requirement to be ASE Certified, but we believe it is an important way for us to show our competency and our dedication to being the best we can be!

Armstrong Automotive is a Full-Service Automotive and Light Truck Repair Shop. We never make a repair without your full-approval. ASE-Certified.
