Fresh tint needs time to cure and bond to the glass. Roll them down too soon and you risk something getting a little messed up.

The good news is it’s usually fine. Tint is more forgiving than people think. But “usually” isn’t a guarantee so just trust the process for two days 😂

Everybody wants the cheapest quote until the tint starts turning purple, bubbling, peeling around the edges, or making your windshield look hazy at night.

Truth is, two tint jobs can look almost identical the day they’re installed. The difference usually shows up 6 months to a few years later.

A lot of the “way cheaper” tint jobs cut cost in a few places:

• Lower quality dyed film that fades fast in Arizona heat
• Little to no real heat rejection even though the windows look dark
• Weak adhesive that starts peeling or lifting
• No manufacturer backed warranty
• Install shortcuts that leave contamination, dust, or rough edges
• Shops using whatever bulk film they can get cheapest that month

That’s why we use SunTek film at Premier.

SunTek’s carbon and ceramic films are designed for long term color stability, heat rejection, and UV protection. Their ceramic films are also non-metalized, which means they won’t interfere with phone signal, GPS, Bluetooth, or newer vehicle electronics like some older metallic films can.

Most people also don’t realize quality film blocks a huge amount of UV exposure. SunTek films can block up to 99% of harmful UV rays depending on the film line, which helps protect your interior from fading and makes daily driving a lot more comfortable.

And honestly, install matters just as much as the film itself.

A good shop spends more time shrinking, cleaning, prepping edges correctly, and making sure the finished product actually lasts.

Cheap tint usually isn’t cheap when you end up paying twice.

If you’re tinting your vehicle, ask what film they use, ask if it’s backed by a real manufacturer warranty, and ask how long they expect it to last in Arizona heat.

That’ll tell you a lot pretty quick.

A lot of front-end protection packages cover the hood, bumper, and fenders… but your mirrors take just as much abuse from rock chips, bugs, and road debris. Skipping them leaves one of the most exposed spots unprotected.
