Finally have a 7/9 series cd009 shifter setup im happy with. The reverse lockout is a must have with these. Makes 5th and 6th shifts much cleaner.

Same welding process. Top is a "factory new" manifold off ebay and the lower is out of the pick and pull yard.

Took the 244 to Fallbrook high school warriors garage to get a baseline dyno pull. Great to see some young kids with enthusism for this stuff.

Learned something new today. Customer bought a NEW new old stock 90+manifold off ebay for $300. 5k miles later he brought it into the shop for crack repair. Only problem is the casting quality is soo poor that it will not weld at all. When heated it balls up and rolls away from the tig torch. Total waste of time and money. Edit to be clear I do know how to weld cast iron. Its something i do on a regular basis with great success. The point is that this iron does not weld.
