Giving an update for Long’s Automotive moving forward. I am slowly starting to take on more projects. Honestly I took on too many big projects out the gate and put myself way behind. That caused a lot of issues leaving some customer’s dissatisfied. If you are one of my dissatisfied customers I apologize. I am doing this mostly alone, I do have help some days with a couple of things, please keep this in mind. Going forward I am working hard to make sure this never happens again. I will be strictly by appointment only and I will only take vehicles as they are ready for their scheduled appointment. I am unable to squeeze in any vehicles that are not scheduled. Also I will not add unscheduled work during the appointment once I have the vehicle. It causes a chain reaction with everything that follows it being late. Think about it this way, if it was your vehicle being skipped you wouldn’t be very happy with me if I kept pushing it off to squeeze in last minute jobs. I will not be doing this for anyone no exceptions. I am only doing repairs and builds. I do not do transmission or rear end builds. I am not equipped for body work or audio installation. Only mechanical. Performance builds do not carry warranty due to the nature of its intended use. I also will not be doing customer supplied parts(this includes engines). This has proven to be an issue if the part fails/has damage/ more work needing to be done than expected. I also do not offer towing or mobile work of any sort. I am not equipped nor insured for either.
Full parts total is required before work begins on your vehicle and remaining balance is required before your vehicle is released.
I am not responsible for any parts or personal possessions left in the vehicle when it gets dropped off. If you have anything in your vehicle please remove it before leaving the vehicle for your scheduled appointment.
I will do a full and proper diagnostic for any problem that we are fixing on your vehicle. Please do not expect me to just change a part because the part store said this is bad. Yes they have a tool that they can use to help diagnose a problem, but they are not mechanics and codes on a computer may mean multiple things. They sometimes just give you a list of parts that could be the problem, but not always the definitive solution.
Hopefully this is not a problem and you guys allow me to service your vehicle needs moving forward
