I’ve been doing a lot of biking with my husband lately... the landscapes and colors and amazing things you see when you slow down and look around you - all inspiration for future Recycling Ju**ies projects! My daughter is working with a friend to start marketing and merchandising so fingers crossed we do a little better job keeping things updated here! 🤞🙄

My very favorite projects are the customs!! I love when a client sends me an email/text with a loose idea of how they want to honor the special folks in their lives. This one was so special (I’ll let the recipient’s post speak for itself) but the development of this project had some of the most hilarious moments I’ve ever had working on something... knowing how sentimental these items are, the client asked me to get them off her porch when she had to leave town. (Which I did almost immediately.) So when she texted me later asking if I’d had a chance to pick them up, I don’t know what came over me but I told her no that she should have her husband take them inside. And then my husband texted her husband just to roll with it. 😳 the next morning I woke up to panicked texts that the stuff was gone and long story short, everyone in Oklahoma was in hysterics and one lady in Colorado was hysterical. I may or may not have suggested she get the cops involved.... I LOVE working with this girl!! She always knows her people so well! It’s an honor to work with her every time!! Thank you!!

Friends, my super awesome talented Mama hand-painted some Easter cards at my request and these ADORABLE 2.5”x3.5” cards are now available to YOU!! Lots of designs, and each comes with an envelope so you can put a personal message from the Easter Bunny into those baskets this year! My mom doesn’t know I’m doing this and will probably not be too thrilled with me so hurry and scoop them up at 4 for $5 until you see a scowling face or post from my mom that she’d like to see me in her office... 😬
PS- the lighting is terrible in here and made the color funny on some of these. The coloring is more pastel on all of them!

I love the “therapy” of being a Ju**ie. I love hand scraping paint with razor blades and peeling back decades of layers of paint and wondering about the story behind each layer. I love how the razor only goes so deep on different layers leaving multiple stories exposed. I loved my 20’s but I do not love when the temperature is in the 20’s. I love my kitchen but I do not love that this picture was taken in my kitchen. I love sanding once I’m done hand scraping but I do not love that I can’t sand in the house. (Even I have boundaries although they are loose when it comes to domestic upkeep...) I love the part of the story I add to everything I touch! ✨💖

Every project becomes my new favorite thing! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again... I’m gonna do better with this ...

Life. It’s wild how we can be traveling along, business as usual, and then WHAM! One single moment can change the course of your life- for a season or forever. 2018 was a year full of those moments... My family built, developed, and opened a retail/restaurant. I lost my best friend, soul sister, partner in crime. And it hurt. It still hurts deeply and will likely hurt forever. And then my daughter had a baby girl and I fell in love all over again. Recycling Ju**ies (being my passion project) took the back burner. I would long to get my hands on something but my motivation just wouldn’t get in line. This weekend, I started working on some projects to maybe coordinate some easy craft classes. Is anyone local interested in something like that? My husband and I are about to clear out the shop, the barn, and the storage room and become intentional with Recycling Ju**ies again. I’ve missed it. I’ve needed it.

I picked this up on their opening day last week and I’m a big fan! Yesterday, my sister told me I smelled like incense and I feel like that’s probably why I’m so in love with this scent!! I’d say you need to hurry over and get one but hopefully she’s already sold out of it! 😍
