Back in the early 1900s, Pottstown was home to the Chadwick Engineering Works, a company that built luxury automobiles right here in town! Even more impressive, a 1910 Chadwick became one of the first commercially manufactured cars capable of reaching speeds over 100 mph.
Pottstown also had its own trolley and passenger rail systems that helped connect the community long before modern highways took over. 🚋
