Prayers for my friend Danny. I’ve known Danny for many years and he’s worked on all of my sports cars I’ve had through the years. If I ever needed anything he was always there to answer my phone calls or stay late to drop off my car no matter how much of a pain in the butt I was. We are praying for you bro and keep fighting.

It’s been almost 20 years since I’ve been to Houston. It was a nice weekend and I took Laura and Zac to my old stomping grounds. First we went to Cars and Coffee & Coffee Houston to see the unveiling of the new Lamborghini Countach and 90 other Lamborghinis as well as other super cars. Then
we stopped by where it all started first at Universal Technical Institute where I graduated in 2004. Then to my old work place where I worked at Auto Zone during the time I was at school. While working at Auto Zone I made a friend Adrian who we went to visit as well. It been years since we’ve hung out and it was good to see him. Until next time Houston and if you haven’t been to the Woodlands while your in Houston I recommend you go by. It’s a very nice place.

I would like an opinion from everyone who reads this post. We had a customer come in today and they were upset because their vehicle wouldn’t start when they picked it up and also their radio wasn’t working.

So the vehicle was dropped off at our shop. We diagnosed their issue 2 days later but first the batteries were dead on the truck. So we boosted it up and checked for any lights that may have stayed on but didn’t find anything. We charged the battery when we were diagnosing their issues which was a transmission leak and power steering leak. We gave them a quote and they approved repairs. We fixed the leaks and when we test drove the vehicle the transmission was slipping in gear. The vehicle was brought to us 6 quarts low on transmission fluid and it had a major leaking transmission line. So pretty much they ran the truck low on fluid and burnt up some clutches in the automatic transmission. I relayed the info back to the customer and quoted them for a rebuild. They were quick to blame the shifting issue on us and they would of never approved the repairs if we would of told them the transmission needed to be rebuilt. I explained there was no way of knowing because we couldn’t drive the truck because of the major leak it had. Anyways they wanted me to guarantee that the truck wouldn’t have any issues anymore. I couldn’t guarantee that because it’s an old truck with a lot of miles. So they declined repairs and came to pick up the truck. When they paid and picked up the truck the truck wouldn’t start the batteries were dead again. Customer said that their truck never had this issue. We boosted the truck and then the customer asked me why the aftermarket radio wasn’t working. I just told her I wasn’t sure because we didn’t touch the radio. The truck came in for leaks. After trying to help trying to figure out the problem I couldn’t come up with a solution but found a lot of aftermarket wiring and lights that had been installed. Fuses were wrapped with foil paper and found fuses blown. I did what I could but couldn’t figure out a quick solution. I told the customer if she wanted to leave it and I would figure out the issue. If it was something we did I would make it right but if it was something with the aftermarket wiring then I would need to charge them. So after 30 minutes of arguing and her blaming me and saying it was our fault these things were not working I told her I just couldn’t help her because I’m telling her what the process would be and I wouldn’t be doing anything for free if it wasn’t something we messed with. So here’s a picture of the wiring when I removed one of the panels. It took me 15 min to get all these wires back behind this panel. Let me know what y’all think. I think I did the best I could to help them but they just were not going to cooperate
