The fact is that car manufacturers use cheap plastic and put a UV topcoat over the plastic to protect it from ultraviolet light. After a few years of acids from bugs and acid rain, the top coat breaks down and the UV light destroys

the plastic. There are a lot of kits out there that can polish your headlights but they do not have the professional top coat to protect the newly polished plastic. The UV rays will break the plastic back down in a few weeks and you are left with cloudy headlights again. Why waste your time and throw your money away?
