Peters Fleet Management, Inc. is a locally owned and operated affiliate of Fleet Services International and Richard Petty Garage. We maintain and repair vehicles and equipment both at our shop and remotely with our mobile service. We are looking for a sales representative to be a key part of our business and help us grow. We focus on taking care of the vehicles that keep our local businesses on the move. Joining our team will be rewarding, fun, and exciting.
We service a wide range of vehicles and equipment from cars and pickup trucks to class 8 trucks and heavy machinery. In addition to repair and maintenance, we sell, install, and service GPS tracking tools, ELD units, and ignition interlock devices. We are a customer focused company and it’s our goal to make every customer a repeat customer and earn their trust to create a long-term relationship.
At Peters Fleet Management, a Sales Representative is responsible for acquiring new customers and working with existing customers to optimize maintenance programs and customer satisfaction. This individual will be working with our Service Writers and Technicians to ensure that customers’ expectations and needs are well understood and met. If you are a professional self-starter who has a thirst for learning and is seeking an opportunity for advancement, you will be an excellent fit at Peters Fleet Management. Job Skills & Qualifications
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
General understanding of mechanics and the ability to learn
Time management, organizational, general technology use, and basic math skills
Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and ability to pass a background check
Excellent communication skills, including in person, handwriting, phone, text, and email
Follow company policies and observe and follow safety rules, practices, and regulations
Patience to deal with customer issues and calls that do not end in a sale
Maintain a professional appearance
No smoking at work, in work vehicles, or on customer sites
Preferred:
1 year sales experience
Mechanic or fleet experience
Experience with CRM tools and sales funnels/pipeline
Ability to inspect and report results on vehicles and equipment using our digital inspection tools
Job Duties:
Acquires new customers by reaching out to cold calls and warm leads
Periodically attend business social events
Maintains documentation of customer contact and account updates in CRM tool
Maintains monthly minimum goals in CRM tool
Help set customer expectations to be realistic in time and cost
Clearly communicate customer expectations to our team
Work with our team to understand challenges or changes in product or timeline
Build rapport with customers by providing accurate guidance
Researches customers’ individual or business purchase needs
Complete market research and monitor competitor activity
Advise customers on maintenance programs and products
Adjusts sales tactics based on testing and new insights in the field
Makes recommendations for the customer
Informs management of purchase actions
Resolves customer complaints and queries by working with management
Safely and professionally test drive and transport vehicles when necessary
