Always get a second opinion if u can't see for yourself

Jiffy L**e told me my brake pads were “less than 1mm left” and needed to be replaced ASAP. I bought all the parts to do my first DIY brake job, took everything apart… and these brakes still look completely fine to me. Am I missing something here or did they straight up lie to me? I already know Jiffy L**e has a reputation, but damn… I actually believed them this time.
