❓ FAQ: "How often does my BMW really need an oil change?"

Great question — and the honest answer is: it depends.

BMW's CBS system calculates oil change intervals dynamically based on how you drive. In ideal conditions with BMW-approved synthetic oil, you might see 10,000–15,000 miles or about a year. But if your driving includes lots of short trips, cold starts, or heavy Portland traffic, your CBS system will shorten that window automatically.

The key rule: follow your iDrive, not a generic mileage sticker.
