A busy weekend bringing in some new inventory! We’ve got a little light work to do on a ‘50 Pontiac and ‘54 Pontiac but the ‘57 Chevy and the 57 Oldsmobile are drop dead gorgeous and ready to roll! We’ll get em photographed and advertised on the web Tuesday…….weather permitting!

Great to have the Beaver Chapter of the Model A Club stop by today during their travels. We always enjoy when the club stop by and it’s extra special when they bring their cars with em! Save travels, keep rollin’ and we’ll see ya next time!

We figured we’d get a jump start on 2026 and close out the final day of the year by picking up this beautiful ’69 Olds Cutlass with an LS3, power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, vintage AC, and more! It’s tucked away until next year, otherwise known as Friday, January 2, 2026. Have a safe and Happy New Year’s Eve, and we’ll see you next year!

Just picked up this nice little bright red‘36 Ford 3-window Coupe! It has a small block Chevy V8, automatic transmission, power steering, Vintage heat and air, power windows and power trunk lid! Very cool street rod! It’ll be on the website Tuesday!

Today, September 19th, marks the 46th Year of Business when Dale Matthews turned a new key and opened the door for the very first time in ‘79 at MATTHEWS CAR CO. which was formerly known as DISCOUNT CAR CO. located at 5220 SE Foster Road. With just a little bit of paint over 8 letters, a business was born. He’s been “in the business” his whole life but standing on your own with your name on the sign while building the reputation of honor, integrity and respect over the years is why we’re still in business today. He’d be the first to tell you he’s had a lot of help along the way and he’s built lifelong friendships with many who started as customers and since became friends.

We’re reposting “The Story” as covered by Laurel Porter on this special day because it truly captured the essence of what drives Matthews Memory Lane. He may tell you things are changing but one thing remains the same…..he’s the first guy through the door every day and we wouldn’t want it any other way! Happy 46th Anniversary “Old Man” keep rollin’!
