I received a very informative email today from a gentleman on the East Coast about my listing "Katie", the 2007 Beal 28 Lobster Racing Boat. Pretty cool the passion behind this spectacular boat. He was in Katie's first race (Back then Katie was named "Seashell" by the builder Calvin Beal's granddaughter) and watched Calvin Beal operate the boat in her first race. At the time the boat was powered by a Cummins diesel but Calvin didn't like the results with that motor and swapped it for the Iveco engine which is in Katie now. Katie was legendary boat builder Calvin Beal Jr's last wooden built he ever built. Learn more about Katie below.
