We fabricated a custom bolt-in roll bar that’s tied directly into the 55 T bird chassis this week. Providing added strength while remaining removable for easier service.

To complement the classic lines of the T-Bird, we’re also building a set of removable Cobra-style hoops that give the car the perfect blend of vintage style and modern performance.

Every piece is built in-house and custom fit to this car. It’s exciting to watch this one take shape, and we can’t wait to show more as the build continues.

🔥 DAVID BELL’S VEGA IS TAKING SHAPE! 🔥

The guys have been hard at it cutting, bending, notching, and fitting a whole lot of tubing into David Bell’s Vega!

This build is getting a full 25.2 chassis, and we’re taking our time getting everything tucked in tight and fitting the body the way it should. You can really start to see the structure of this car coming together now.

We’re building this one around a Big Block Chevy, Powerglide transmission, small tire setup, and one of our SVRC fabricated 9” housings with all-new rear suspension.

There’s a lot of work that goes into a chassis like this that you never see once the car is finished—every bend, notch, intersection, brace, and tube placement matters. This is the stage where it all starts coming together.

We’ll keep posting updates as we make progress. Follow along with David Bell’s Vega build and let us know in the comments if you’d like to see more build videos showing how we take one from this stage to a finished race car!
