Beginning in 1937 when Wayne Stratton joined his sister Alice, and brother-in-law Harry Cissell and the business became C&S. In 1971 Mike Stratton joined his father in the family business. Today you will find Mike at work besides two of his five daughters Alyssa Idsinga and April Rutter. Mike’s wife Marnee and all five daughters have been involved in the business at various times. Their philanthro

py consists of corporate sponsorship of Greyhound Athletics, Portales Rams Athletics. Supporter of NMCCH and NMBCH; Portales Rec Center and City League Sports. Community organization and events such as the NM Ag Expo, United Way of ENM and City League Sports are all at the top of their business’s support. Their business offers tires, auto parts, propane, fuel, mechanic alignments and oil changes. You can find their Valero gas station on the corner of 2nd Street and Ave B, the Diesel station is located at the corner of Commercial and Ave B, or in Dora.
