“Sanilac County Historical Society receives generous check from Port Sanilac Farmers' Market”

Port Sanilac, MI (October 4th) - Port Sanilac Farmers Market generously donated $2,000 to Sanilac County Historical Society in addition to their annual lease agreement. “We love being here”, says Port Sanilac Farmers Market Treasurer Lisa Alexander (The Cookie Lady). “It’s just a great space that is unlike other farmers market venues: with the trees, parking, and historic buildings available for everyone to walk and enjoy their day while visiting the market” remarks Trustee John Norman (The Rustic Loaf).

Sanilac County Historical Society is proud to host the Port Sanilac Farmers Market every Friday, May through October, from 1pm to 5pm.

Many additional events are scheduled to complement the vendor market such as free music concerts at 2pm co-sponsored by the Sanilac Consortium for the Arts. And Summer Story Reading Time in the Huckins Schoolhouse at 3pm. Many other great events happen during the Farmers Market Fridays at Sanilac Museum, of considerable mention is Family Fun Day every Friday of Independence Day Weekend. The Historical Society has a fantastic relationship in mutual support from the Farmers Market for these events and programs. We are looking forward to another great year of market Fridays at the museum in 2025.

A reminder: Fridays through the month of October the Farmer's Market has soup or chili.
Also, on October 18th the market will have a chili taste off!
Prizes to be awarded for the top 3 chili's by popular vote.
