Well it's official, Sears Family Racing is #1 and #2 this season in Super Pro points at Bremerton Raceway!

Jeremy was last years champion but Ron was able to put together a great season and deny him a second straight championship! At least it stayed in the family!!

Jeremy is still actually in the running for a National Open Wally as the final round on Sunday has not been ran yet. An oil down ended the day just prior to the final round. He will face off with Austin Calhoun for the trophy the next time the two are at the track.

As we have said every time we post, we could not be as successful as we are without the great support of our awesome sponsors Yukon Gear & Axle, Puget Sound Petroleum, Truck Town Ltd., Westbay/NAPA Auto Parts and our tireless Crew Chief NormaJean Sears.

And thanks to all of you that follow us each and every season!!

This may be the end of the regular season, but we are not done yet! There is more racing for us so stay tuned!!

Coming up this weekend Aug 19-21 is the NHRA National Open at Bremerton Raceway!

This is the final two points races of the regular season (which will determine the track champions in each class) along with other NHRA classes like Stock/Super Stock combo, Super Comp, Super Street, Super Quick etc. A lot of great racing packed into a couple days!!

Currently in Super Pro, Ron is in second, 13 points behind with Jeremy (last year's Super Pro track champion) in third 33 points behind Ron. Either one has a good chance of winning this season's crown.

They are both running in Super Quick and Super Pro this weekend. Josh will probably be running Super Pro and Pro so lots of racing for all three and a lot of running around for our awesome Crew Chief NormaJean Sears! Thanks, you are the best!!

Thanks to our terrific sponsors Yukon Gear & Axle, Puget Sound Petroleum, Truck Town Ltd., and Westbay/NAPA Auto Parts. They are not just great sponsors, but great people too!

If you are looking for something to do this weekend, come on out and watch some exciting racing!!

At Woodburn Dragstrip 7/22 - 7/24/2022
I was getting ready to post where we will be this weekend and noticed we didn't post anything about our annual trip down to Woodburn for the Night of Fire event.

This race is one we have never missed since it started 12 years ago. Both Jeremy and Ron have normally done well at this 5 races in 3 days event. Jeremy has won multiple times and Ron has won one and runner up three times.

This year both got shut out. Jeremy raced extremely well but just got beat by slightly better runs. Ron had 4 of the 5 races decided at the starting line with.00x red lights!

Josh has done well over the years but had a bad string of finishing one round short of the money. This year he broke that string with a semi's, semi's, semi's, quarters, and quarters in his five races! He was glad to finally get the monkey off his back!

As always we want to thank our great sponsors Westbay/NAPA Auto Parts, Yukon Gear & Axle, Puget Sound Petroleum, Truck Town Ltd. and our awesome Crew Chief NormaJean Sears for all their help and support.

We will be back at Bremerton Raceway this weekend for points races both days! The weather is great and the racing is even better so hope to see you there!!

At Bremerton Raceway 7/16 & 7/17/2022 - We finally got some racing to report. Between the rain outs and us putting on the Northwest Independence Shootout it seems like it has been forever since we last raced.

The first time slip is from Ron's 6th round (semi's) on Saturday and the second is the second round on Sunday where he gave the stripe back. All we can say is that's racing!

Josh has been working 12 hour days but got some time off to come play. On Saturday in the third round his car couldn't run the number. (He found a couple air bleeds a little clogged). On Sunday he just flat got beat in a good race in the first round.

Jeremy had a bad light (for him) in the second round on Saturday and lost. On Sunday though he took no prisoners in a 7 round race and took the win!

We cannot thank our sponsors enough for hanging with us in a season that has not let us make many passes to represent them. Again a big thanks to Yukon Gear & Axle, Puget Sound Petroleum, Westbay/NAPA Auto Parts, Truck Town Ltd.

And as always a really big thanks to our crew chief NormaJean Sears who works her tail off to make sure we have everything and are ready each and every round.

We are headed to Woodburn Dragstrip in Woodburn Oregon for their annual Night of Fire event this coming weekend (7/22 - 7/24).

This past week/weekend (5/26 - 5/29) Jeremy and Ron made the trip down to Redding CA for four days of big money racing at Jesse Adam's May Money Madness event. The weather was good overall but we did have a couple rain delays on Saturday during the $10k to win race. Both "double entered" the event so it was definitely fast paced action if you remained in in both sides. Ron's car was easy to dial every round. The loose nut behind the wheel needed a little tightening though. Thursday and Friday he was all over on the tree both red and green and couldn't get past third round. Talking to other racers and they were having the same problem. He decided a little more focus might help. On Saturday his lights were more consistent, not stellar but good enough and in combination with a consistent car carried both entries into the fourth round. He lost on one side but continued on in the other for four more rounds down to the final six cars where he lost a close (mov .007) race to Rayce Kidd. Since the Saturday race ended Sunday morning, he decided to just run one entry. He was .002 dead two in round one, then turned on the red bulb .005 in the second.

Jeremy was deadly and so was his car all four days but kept coming up on the wrong end of good races through the first three days. On Sunday he "raced angry" carrying both entries into the sixth round (only one left double entered). Another close race knocked him out of one side but he worked the other one into the final round where he came up short by .001!

Overall a great week/weekend for both.

Our crew chief NormaJean stayed home and took care of the fur kids but her hard work getting things ready in just a couple days was so much appreciated.

As always we could not be as successful as we are without the help of our sponsors Yukon Gear & Axle, Puget Sound Petroleum, Truck Town Ltd., and Westbay/NAPA Auto Parts.

Next race for us is at Bremerton Raceway 6/4-6/5. The weather looks bad again but hey this is Washington so you never know!!

At Bremerton Raceway 5/21-5/22/2022 - We finally got to make more than one pass in a weekend! The weather and track was outstanding and Ron made the most of it on Saturday putting together a string of double 0 lights to take the win in a seven round Super Pro race! On Sunday he kept the string of double 0 lights going including a perfect light in the second time run. Unfortunately he missed it in the second round and a little slip at the starting line cost him.
Josh ran in Pro on Saturday bowing out in the third round and on Sunday he double entered Pro and Super Pro. He lost first round in Pro, but went six rounds in Super Pro and a red light in the semis ended his day.
Jeremy had it going good on Saturday making it to the fourth round before a breakout run cost him. On Sunday he lost a close race in the first round but bought back in and made a strong run to the semis before ending his weekend. We were really hoping Josh and Jeremy would meet in the finals since they were on opposite sides of the ladder and make it an all Sears Family Racing weekend.

Thanks again to our awesome Crew Chief NormaJean and our great sponsors Puget Sound Petroleum, Yukon Gear & Axle, Truck Town Ltd., and Westbay NAPA .

After two weekends of frustration with no racing due to several issues related to the weather, it looks very hopeful that we will get to put some laps on the cars this weekend at Bremerton Raceway! Come on out and check out the action!

Big thanks again to our sponsors Puget Sound Petroleum, Truck Town Ltd., Yukon Gear & Axle, and Westbay/NAPA Auto Parts!!

04/20/2022

Our 2022 season started at home this year instead of at the Spring Fling Million due to issues beyond our control. Next year we will be back!!

Toward the end of last season Ron wiped out the ring&pinion along with twisting an axle on his dragster. That is all new along with a gear change from 4.10 to 4.30. Also a freshened up transmission and converter. Jeremy's motor, transmission and converter are all fresh in his dragster and Josh got away with just a tune up and oil change on his Monza.

At Bremerton Raceway 4/16 &4/17/2022 - We were planning to check everything out during the test and tune on Saturday but it was too cold and the rain rolled in before any fast cars could run. On Sunday it was still cold but no rain. The track crew worked hard but there were several delays early because of the temperature. The track came around enough to get the race in. All three cars performed well but the rust showed a little with the drivers. Jeremy and Ron both lost in the second round. Jeremy's was just a good close race and Ron went .001 red on the tree. Josh is running the Pro bracket this season to change things up. He went out in the third round with a red light start. Not a bad showing for the first race of the season with only two time runs but we always expect more.

We cannot be as successful as we are without our awesome Crew Chief NormaJean Sears and our sponsors. New this season Puget Sound Petroleum, and our returning sponsors Westbay/NAPA Auto Parts, Yukon Gear & Axle, Truck Town Ltd.

Next race for us will be 4/30 & 5/1 at Bremerton Raceway. Hope to see you there!

I know it has been awhile since we have posted our results and I will explain why in more detail when I have time but for now to catch up on this "season".....

Most of you have seen that Jeremy and Ron are both driving new cars with Ron buying Jeremy's old dragster and the big guy getting a new one. We have not had many chances to get seat time in them but so far so good.

The last three points races at our home track, Bremerton Raceway have been won by a Sears!!

Josh started us out with a Wally win at the National Open on Father's Day and this past weekend Jeremy won on Saturday. While not wanting to be the odd man out, Ron had to beat both of them (Josh 1st rd, Jeremy in the semis) to notch his first win in a dragster. Pretty exciting to say the least.

A big thanks goes out to our awesome Crew Chief NormaJean as with three cars all running in Super Pro AND going rounds she amazingly keeps us all ready to go each and every round.

We also want to thank those that have stuck with us, our great sponsors Renegade Race Fuels & Lubricants, Truck Town Ltd., Yukon Gear & Axle, Westbay/NAPA Auto Parts

We are headed down to Woodburn Dragstrip later this week for their Night of Fire event. We have not missed this event since it started and is always a good time.

07/09/2019

At Bremerton Raceway 6/30/19 - Since we were running the NW Independence Shootout on Saturday, Sunday was the only day we got to race. The weather was perfect for racing again but the weather in our heads was a bit foggy after the Racer Appreciation Party the night before.

All three were moving slow but remember the tortoise and the hare.... slow and steady wins the race! For Josh the win did not come as he made an early exit in the first round. Ron was not a whole lot better as a red light in the second round ended his day. Jeremy on the other hand was the tortoise on this day as he went on to win his third event of the year!!

The win vaulted him from 6th in the season points standings all the way into 1st! We will see what happens in the final few points races, so stay tuned!

A big thanks to our Crew Chief NormaJean Sears and our sponsors Renegade Race Fuels & Lubricants, Yukon Gear & Axle, Westbay/NAPA Auto Parts and Truck Town Ltd. (David Robert Barcelon and Don Sefton).

Next race for us is 7/13 & 7/14 at Bremerton Raceway. Come on out and see if Ron and Josh can make a move in the points and Jeremy can extend his points lead!
