I know we've not made any official posts on here since the day we created it. And I gotta say, I'm throughly impressed by just how many there are of y'all following us, despite not making a single post yet. Thank you so much for supporting us! So here's our first official post announcement.
Since life has been throwing some massive non-stop signs at us, our lil Salvage & Secondhand business dream, "Home Again Junkrats", is changing in a more specific direction. As opposed to it's former unspecified and all over the place direction. And we're f**kn stoked!
Welcome to Junkrat Matt and Junkrat Dice's dreams come true, and enjoy the ride in our Squarebody Chevy heaven.
L7 Squares will soon be bringing y'all 70s/80s (predominantly) Chevy Parts & Custom Upholstery and Bodywork.
Here's a few things to expect from us as offered services to the Squares Community:
• Online Inventory w/ Shipping Available
- We're still sorting through the plethora of parts we have, and aren't quite yet ready to launch the store full swing. But if yer a fellow Square and have found you need Square specific decor/electric/mechanical parts, panels, glass, trims, ornaments, you name it, then L7 Squares is your spot to shop.
• Assitance In Rehoming Squares As We're Able & Online "Searching For" Sign-Up Contact List
- If you're in a spot where you need/want to part with your Square, are local to Washington (at least just for now), and want to know that your project will be taken care of by others who know how special these trucks are to their owners, then go ahead and contact us!
Or, if you're outside of our available travel range, or for whatever reason we're unable to take on your Square ourselves, we'll be creating a profile account-like sign-up list for a dream project look-out and connection. So soon, we'll have several people in line who have been looking for a project exactly like yours that we could send your way.
• Complete Customization Of Body & Interior
- Starting with simpler work first, but slowly taking on more and more extravagant work, we'd be more than excited to help you *really* make Your Square "Your Square". The work we offer will be based on what we're set-up to do and what we know we can do as we continue building our unique skills. And with consent plus credit, any custom work done by us on your project can be scheduled for it's own mini photoshoot for showcasing online in our portfolio works, announcements, and social medias.
Matt, with his 10+ years of professional painting and finishing, will be offering custom body work.
**However, please note that this will not be offered until we can dedicate the space and finances to getting him a spray booth setup here at home.**
Me, with my 10+ years of hobby turned profession design and fabrications, will be offering custom interior work.
**I am a self-taught auto-upholsterer, and do not have an upholstery machine that can help me speed through projects. I currently only use my hands and not machines. These projects can be lengthy and may need scheduled sessions until we can get the best tools able for larger scale upholstering.**
To save my thumbs, and your eyes, from all the text, that's all I'm going to tell about what service goals we'll be working towards bringing to our fellow Junkrats and Squares. The rest will be a surprise for when we officially launch the store.
But before I finish typng this post, a semi sap part about L7 and it's Mastermind Junkrat behind it...
Despite this being a shared dream, and a shared business between the two of us, L7 Squares is Matt's rust baby. My personal obsession with Chevy Squares and my *need* to DIY customize mine from the tires up, just happened to be handy in helpin kickstart this dream for Matt. But I haven't poured nearly a fraction of myself into this, as Matt has. This is his sweat, blood, and rusty tears. Not mine. I'm here to help him expand it, and bring it to the online world and its networkings. And in turn, I get to fulfill a childhood dream of doing Custom Interior and Body work on old Chevys.
Matt is the backbone of this, as he is with everything he applies himself to. He's the one who's been going out of his way to find all these jaw dropping gem finds. He transports them back home. He does all the major mechanical works and any electrical works that he is able to do. He turns them from Project Squares to Daily Drivers, or Sunday Showstoppers, or Roadtrip Warriors. It's majority of Matt making this dream turn to reality. He's done 99% of all this work completely solo. I am so gotdayum proud of him for all the work he's done. I am so gotdayum blown away watching his mechanical knowledge practically threefold almost each new day he's out there working. I am so gotdayum honored to even remotely be apart of this with him. L7 Squares is what it is because of Matt.
