After a long winter in Port Ludlow, RIPTIDE sailed up to Port Townsend for her annual upgrades and routine maintenance at the Port Townsend Shipwrights Co-op.

You'll note the steel hull sailing ship ex-HAWAIIAN CHIEFTAN in the background.

Here's a picture of RIPTIDE on north Lake Union in 1935, a few hundred yards from the Schertzer Brothers yard, her builder. We're fortunate that she was owned by two long-term and caring owners to make it to her 99th year in a few days!

Nearing the end of a month in the Port Townsend Shipyard, getting ready for the Classic Yacht Pacific Northwest Fleet - Classic Yacht Association Father's Day show at Seattle's Bell Harbor June 13th - 15th. Thanks to Diane Salguero for painting and varnishing with her team, to Cooper Parrish for his expertise in repairing a couple of persistent faults, and to David Vane of The Drawing Board for putting RIPTIDE's name and hailing port on her transom! We go back in the water on June 9th.
