There's a new forum post in WrenchNet about an aftermarket STS-V intake, and some new categories were added on tips to save fuel and alternative fuels. Given the fuel crisis/prices we're facing, I think it's a good time to discuss ideas and solutions that we can hopefully all benefit from, to save a little at the pumps.

I have a 2000 Deville with a propane conversion on it. I hardly drive the car.......but given gas prices, it might make sense to start. 😂

A few quick updates. This year has been a turbulent one. But with growth comes growing pains. But we are getting there.

I got WrenchNet launched and that was a huge priority for me. Some things take time to grow. The sooner you get those seeds in the ground, the sooner you'll see the fruit.

The machine shop in Port Huron is near fully operational. The engine ship-in service has launched and our first customer has sent his to us in a crate for studding and re-sealing. We provided the crating instructions and sent him brackets, and he had his local shop pull the engine. We set up the truck to pick it up. Just under $250 to get it to our shop.

A new website for NSP is in the works. This will not affect the online store. It will launch sometime in October.

We need a project for a Northstar conversion. Something to show what the powertrain is capable of, and how it can be used in hot rods or project cars. Finances have not allowed for this yet, but we do have the powertrain on the ground in the shop- a Supercharged 4.4L LC3 and 6L80-E combo from a crashed up STS-V that I bought a few years ago. My plans are actually to find a vintage Oldsmobile 88 and swap this in and document it on YouTube. Something like the one in this photo (attached). I am a huge fan of the Oldsmobile Rocket V8s which will make it hard to rip one of those out and put anything else in place.....but a 4.4L LC3 would really be a nice powerplant for a sweet Oldsmobile like this. Project for 2027? I think so ;)

I have followed Emelia Hartford from the time she first started her career. It's incredible to see how far she has come in her career as an actress!

Who's going to see this movie when it hits theatres? Sung Kang from the Fast and the Furious is the creator of this one. I expect it to be an awesome movie!

25 years ago, I was a 15 year old working on a to***co farm (summer job) in Southern Ontario Canada (Tillsonburg), stacking bales of to***co. My mom and I were both working that day, she was grading the to***co and I was baling it.

We sat in our car during break time and listened to the radio. There was nothing on except the news about the WTC. All radio broadcasts, even in Canada, were sharing the news of what was going on. It was the first time, as a young fella, that my eyes were opened to how evil people could be in this world. I remember walking into the barn where the skids of to***co bales were stored and questioning in my own mind "How" and "Why".

I don't think anyone was prepared for that news. I certainly was not. When we got home after work we saw video footage on TV and it was surreal.

May God bless and protect the United States of America, now, and always, and may an attack like that never happen again.

In the "My Garage" Feature of WrenchNet, you have the ability to list your favorite automotive parts stores! In case you need quick links or references to them. Sure, you could just bookmark them in your browser.....but......there will be features added to this later that a browser will not do. ;)

Next Thursday will be one year since I signed the lease on the Port Huron facility.

I would be 100% screwed if I had not.

I am still working through difficulties with this move. It has not been easy.

All of my Northstar parts stocked on the Canadian side are near worthless, except maybe to Canadians- which, as much as I respect my home country, it accounts for 5-8% of my sales. This means inventory I cannot sell, money that could have been made that sits there collecting dust.

Probably next month I'll be holding a giant garage sale in Canada on excess Northstar parts. I'll post more information about it in the weeks to come, but I might as well liquidate that stuff. You'll have the ability to buy my parts cars before they end up in the crusher.
