BOARD ELECTIONS
Looking to increase your involvement at the track? Board Elections are coming up in November and we have expanded our board-
We are accepting nominations through November 11th! All positions are two year terms and are up for election in even years. Concessions & Registration will be one year this term and up for election in odd years.
To qualify for election to the Lincoln Park BMX Board you must by October 31st of the election year:
- Have at least one member of the household, adult or child hold a current membership with USABMX;
- Be an eligible voting member
- Declare Lincoln Park BMX their home track
- Be an Active Volunteer or Board Approval by majority vote; and
- Not hold a board position at another USABMX sanctioned track.
Nominees need to submit an explanation of why they would be a good fit for the position and a brief description of their personal and professional background to [email protected]
These brief statements will be posted ahead of voting at the November Board Meeting.
Board positions and description that are up for election are listed below.
Vice President - shall perform the duties of the president in his/her absence. To attend monthly and special meetings and functions of the Association when possible. To perform such other duties as may be assigned. Office is a two-year term and will be up for election in even years.
Treasurer - shall be custodian of all operating funds of the Association. To collect all funds and deposit all funds in the appropriate bank accounts. To disburse funds as directed by the Executive Committee and to pay bills. To be ex-officio member of all committees where funds are expended. To provide monthly written reports of the receipts and disbursements for the Association activities at regular and special meetings. To submit, upon request, books for an annual audit. To reconcile bank statements. To perform such other duties as may be assigned. Office is two-year term will be up for election in even years.
Community Liaison - This position will be Community member from Clallam County. Description of duties: offer advice and direction with regards to financial, legal, insurance, and/or community matters. This advice and direction will ideally be rooted in a skill set and knowledge base that has been developed by professional and/or personal experience. Office is two-year term will be up for election or appointed and approved by the board in even years. Voting position.
Volunteer Coordinator: shall be responsible for recruitment and training of new volunteers, recognizing and tracking hours/appreciation of volunteers, managing volunteer sign up and shall be a liaison between the board and volunteers. Position is a two-year term and will be up for election or appointed and approved by the board in even years. Voting Position
Registration: The Registration Director is responsible for all aspects of the registration department, ensuring smooth and efficient registration processes for participants, maintaining up-to-date records in the (TORF) system, and handles inquiries related to registration. Position is a two-year term (2027 will be one year) and will be up for election or appointed and approved by the board in odd years. Voting Position
Concessions: The Concessions Director is responsible for overseeing the concessions department (food & apparel), ensuring efficient service, coordinating inventory, maintaining food safety and cleanliness standards, and enhancing customer experience. Also responsible for working with Food Vendors who come to the track on race days. Position is a two-year term (2027 will be one year) and will be up for election or appointed and approved by the board in odd years. Voting Position
