🚗 Who Really Gets to Choose Where Your Vehicle Is Repaired?

After an accident, one of the first calls you’ll receive is from your insurance company. They may recommend a “preferred” or “network” repair shop.

Here’s what every vehicle owner should know:

✅ You have the right to choose the repair shop you trust.

A recommendation is just that—a recommendation. The decision is yours.

If you’re told you may have to pay out of pocket if you don’t use a particular shop, don’t panic. Ask questions:

• Why wouldn’t this repair be covered under my policy?
• Is that decision based on my policy or on the shop I selected?
• Can you provide that explanation in writing?

Every claim is different, but you deserve a clear explanation.

Southern Garage Body & Paint is seeking a dependable, motivated C-Tech to join our growing team.
Primary Responsibilities:
● Vehicle disassembly and reassembly
● Preparing vehicles for the body repair process
● Organizing and managing parts throughout repairs
● Assisting with shop production while maintaining quality and efficiency
Qualifications:
● Basic automotive hand tools
● Strong mechanical aptitude and common sense
● Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
● Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
● Valid driver’s license
● Dependable transportation
● Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
What We Expect:�We are looking for team members who come to work ready to work. Personal cell phone use should be kept to breaks and emergencies so that safety, productivity, and quality remain our top priorities.
Compensation:�Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications. Compensation will be discussed during the interview process.

Just got another shipment of Big Ass Fans, and I’ll be honest—I was skeptical at first because of the price tag.

Like a lot of people, I thought, “How much better can a fan really be?”

After installing them in our shop, I quickly found out. The airflow, comfort, and overall difference they make throughout the building is unbelievable. When you’re trying to keep a large collision repair facility comfortable during a Mississippi summer, these things flat out perform.

Sometimes the cheapest option ends up being the most expensive. These fans have proven to be one of those investments where the old saying is true:

“Buy once, cry once.”

WE ARE BLESSED.

Some days we get so busy chasing deadlines that we forget to stop and appreciate how we got here.

🚨 LATE MODEL VEHICLE OWNERS — READ THIS 🚨

If your newer vehicle has been in a collision, even something as simple as a bumper replacement or bumper removal can affect critical safety systems.

Today’s vehicles are loaded with:✅ Front Radar Systems✅ Blind Spot Monitoring✅ Lane Keep Assist✅ Adaptive Cruise Control✅ Park Sensors✅ Emergency Braking Cameras

These systems MUST be checked, scanned, initialized, and calibrated according to OEM manufacturer procedures after repairs.

⚠️ If the repair shop cannot provide:• PRE-REPAIR SCANS• POST-REPAIR SCANS• CALIBRATION DOCUMENTATION

…then there is NO proof your vehicle’s safety systems are operating properly.

Many ADAS sensors are mounted behind bumpers, grilles, windshields, mirrors, and emblems. Simply removing or replacing these parts can require recalibration by OEM procedures.

Don’t assume because there are “no warning lights” that your vehicle is safe.
