Circuit of the Americas trac weekend. We got a chance to see what the GT1 will do on a proper track where it can stretch its legs. We hit some pretty impressive top speed numbers. Anyone care to guess? Photos by .knebel

Graham Rahal Performance (GRP), LYNX Motors announced the immediate availability of a street-legal version of the Ford Matech Concepts GT1 Le Mans race car, originally fielded by Matech GT Racing of Geneva, Switzerland, in 2010. In partnership with LYNX Motors of Austin, Texas, GRP will produce 28 examples of the GT1 Le Mans at their state-of-the-art facility in Zionsville, IN.

“I’m beyond excited for our company to be involved in something like the GT1 Project, not only to help bring this automobile to market but also manufacture it at our facility in Indianapolis. It’s an iconic car in its own right, but creating a high-quality, modern version of what the Ford GT40 was at its peak gives us something to be very proud of. I’m very fortunate and proud that Lynx thought of us for this project, as it validates and justifies the investment that we’ve made in our facility here in Zionsville, and I’m extremely excited to get the project underway,” said Graham Rahal, owner and founder of Graham Rahal Performance.

GT1 has joined forces with Camilo Pardo, the Chief Designer of the iconic 2005-06 Ford GT, to offer Signature Series liveries for 2024 GT1 builds. To commemorate this collaboration, GT1 will reveal the first Signature Camilo livery, the #98, paying homage to the 1966 Ken Miles GT40 that claimed victory at the 24 Hours of Daytona. The #98 GT1 was revealed by Camilo and the GT1 team at Motorlux at Pebble Beach on Wednesday, August 16th, 2023.
This Signature Series is uniquely designed to carry Camilo’s theme through both the exterior and interior of the GT1. This #98 car was on display at Pebble Beach, including stops at Motorlux and various Monterey car week events .
This car features the same base GT1 package as the rest of the early builds, with a full carbon fiber body featuring GT1’s unique large-format spread tow carbon weave. It will be powered by the same Roush Yates RY45TT as in the #6 GT1 and other customer builds.
All 2024 GT1s will be available with Signature Series liveries as an option, which will be limited to only one example of each chosen livery theme. Camilo will personally lead the design ex*****on on each Signature Series GT1 based on an inspiration provided. Each livery is designed in his studio in Detroit before going to paint. All graphics, color treatments and design queues are hand-painted by craftsman painters. The Signature Series GT1s will be sure to turn heads.
