J&J Performance has started featuring sweet local rides. We’re kicking off April by featuring this gorgeous 1968 SS 396 Camaro that was purchased at Mecum Auto Auction in Portland, OR by Gary & Karen Benedict, members of our local Injectors Car Club.

Everything in this car is stock except for the genuine 1960s Sun Super tach mounted to the steering column. The only mod being made to this car is a new differential. The stock differential is a 2:73 open rear end and is being replaced by a 3:55 posi from Tom’s Differentials in Ponderay. That will allow the 396/375hp engine with the manual 4-speed to be even more aggressive in its acceleration. This classic beauty is black with red rally stripes and has been wet-sanded to a mirror finish.

Good morning from J&J Performance! With all this snow we know it’s hard to believe that spring is right around the corner but it is! You know how we know? Because we’ve started planning our Annual King of the Hill Event for May. It’s going to be as much fun as last year but we’ve got a few things in the works that is going to make it even MORE fun and might even bring a little more competition to the table. We’ll let you know when and what when we have everything locked in but until then we’ve compiled some more pics of our favorite classics as a reminder that it’s almost time to get those hot rods out of the garage!

Showing a little Ford/Lincoln love this morning. Great news that Ford Motor Company is keeping its Lincoln plant open in Kentucky and not moving it offshore. Here is the actual ‘Hot Rod Lincoln’ that inspired the song -- a modified Ford Model A body with a Lincoln V12 flathead.
