2018 Hyundai Sonata 2.4 with 50,000. Time for a new head gasket! Someone replaced the head gasket before with obviously the wrong one. This car was leaking oil non stop while running. I researched the gasket that they had used and it was an eBay special which was missing an area that goes around the oil drain from the head. If you’re this far into a tear down at least make sure you have the right parts and quality parts so the next person that repairs it the right way doesn’t see all the corners you cut when you were putting it back together like leaving timing case cover bolts out because you had already installed the water pump pulley that covers them. 😂 P.S. this was not at a local shop that did the first head gasket.
