Fish Monger Seabass / Stripes -

Back out for a couple more days (tues/Wed) after yet another couple day off thanks to the wind and unfortunately looks like more bad weather coming. Still working hard on the bottom grounds chipping n scratching away at the seabass but after each blow it seems to get tougher atleast with better fish. Been a grind but making the best of with what we got rn.

3 more trips between the boats. Phil and crew on tues stuck with the bottomfish. The morning was slow but as the day went on the life improved. Lots of action n w**ded thru a ton of small stuff for a box of 70 keepers. Wed both boats looked around for stripes early... miles of bait but not miles of fish... very few bites in the fleet for a lot of miles. Couple bites n landed one between which was Thomas biggest bass...Cant force something that isnt ready. Rather than beat a dead horse riding around hopin both boats went bottomfishing mid morning for more good action w**ded thru shorts n picked away for a half of box keepers (50k each) to salvage the day. Plenty of action n fillets for dinner !

Hasnt been easy fishing or weather but been staying on the best life we can n grinding to scrape together boxes of fish. Plenty of Stripes n a good bite way to the north so wont b long after the next round of weather n colder temps. Patience isnt my strong suit but we wait... Thanks everyone.

Fish Monger Availability Update -

Fall is here n so is the weather... yet another couple windy days tied up but will b back at it as soon as the weather allows. B4 this round of bad weather we were still picking away at the seabass along with tog, triggers porgy n small blues. Its a grind not lights out but plenty of action n fillets for the dinner table. On the striper scene the bait n first wave of big stripers have moved into the area n are coming closer by the day. Expect to see more slide south as the month goes on esp with each blow n the colder temps coming later in the week.

With that said this is a great time to come try for a personal best striper n bend some rods with some bottom fish for some fillets for the dinner. As the month goes on we expect more stripers to get fired up n seabass to hopefully stick around till the end.of the month . Each blow changes everything....One thing moves out n another get fired up. We will b looking for stripes going n coming and bottomfishing for the remainder of day... Whatever is best!

We have some open boat availability thru the remainder of the month between the boats. Only Couple charter dates left for the season once we hit Nov. Call or text Marie White 732 403-6065 to grab ur spot n get involved in the fun.

Fish Monger Sat 10/10 Pm Seabass & Blackfish -

Jessica and the fam booked the whole boat for themselves for some afternoon fun! What a great way to celebrate a 70th birthday 🎂 Capt Alex n crew Kept everyone busy with some action with both seabass and blackfish with a bunch of keepers n a nice tog for everyone to take home. Good times!!!! Happy birthday!!! Thanks guys!

Fish Monger Sat 10/10 Seabass Limits ( 12 & 9 man) for both boats -

Another beautiful fish filled day on the water for two great crews! Loads of action n a box full of tasty for both boats

On The Red boat our great long time customer and friend Fred aboard w an always fun crew. Finally had a weather day line up for these guys and the fish were hungry too as a bonus. Pretty much the same as yesterday. Not easy...Have to hit a ton of spots to fill the box but it beats the alternative... tons of bites, loads of action everywhere and loads of small fish to w**d thru. But some nice quality mixed in to fill the box. Hopped around n picked here few there that added up to a 12 man by the end of it.

On The Green boat Capt Alex, Paul & Harris had a great open boat crew aboard. Same deal lots of action, picked n plucked at the keepers from start to finish... the kids did a great job n caught a bunch of fish which is what its all about... have to work at it n made alot of moves but picked away until and finished the crews 9 man. Lots of action n a nice box by days end with a fun crew. Back out for a afternoon trip will report on that after.

Taking the life we got and making the most of it. Nice bags of tasty fillets for all! Appreciate everyone fishing hard for em. Unfortunately a couple days of weather. Expecting to do more stripers after the blow but also keep at the seabass while they in range. Thanks everyone! Pics

Fish Monger Fri 10/9 Seabass

Both boats back at it on this beautiful day with two great repeat crews! Much improved life n size. On the Red boat we had Ryan n a crew aboard. Didnt look for the bass they stuck w bottomfishing. Best life we seen in a while and some really nice size stuff. Still had to work hard n hop around for the keepers but atleast they kept coming. Steady pick at quality that added up n led to a big 14 man box of 140 keepers. Winter flounder blackfish porgy n puffer mixed in.

On the Green boat Capt Alex Paul n Harris had Long time customer Gus n crew. Spent the beg of the morning and way back looking for stripers unfortunately no takers. Was hoping to get a crack at a few... Went off bottomfishing n picked better than yesterday but still a grind. Hop around n pick what they could. Also some nicer size fish. Crew fished hard for a half of box of 60+ keepers. Could have used a few more but Got the crew into some action n sent everyone home w some dinnersSeabass is on the menu for eveyone again today!

Hasnt been an easy week. Grinding hard to get everything we can for the box...ups n downs but doing out best to make it work! Every been fishing hard n having a good time doing it which we appreciate! Heres todays pics thanks guys!!!

Fish Monger Thurs 10/8 Slow seabass / First lunkers on bunkers Stripers of the fall

Good and bad we report em all . Tough fishing for both boats today. South wind that blew 25 all night def had the life off n left us with an annoying rolly conditions. Some spots had decent amount of bites but its was mostly dinky stuff. Others were pretty lifeless...Caught some fish n some action but not nearly enough for the box... only managed 50 & 30 k cbass. A couple triggers bones blues porgies and a good showing of world class size puffer 🤣 a very tough day by our standards but its fishing it happens n its all part of the game whether we like it or not. Two great crews fished hard all day n had a good time despite the slower fishing.

The good news... the bunker have moved into the area. The first cow stripers of the fall are always special to see. Both boats made a pit stop on the way home. Only a couple of bites (fish) for the short time we did it but its a start of whats to come. With all the bait around wont b long till the herd finds it. We will b looking going n coming from here on out. Todays pics....

Fish Monger Wed 10/7 Seabass Limit (10 man) -

Pog n crew had a fun time filling the box on beautiful day!!! saying the fishing was a grind is an understatement... filled the box but way to many shorts to deal with and way to many spots for 100 keepers but hey it beats the alternative. Loads of action, No where had even close to right amount of keepers but few nice ones here n there added up by days end. Guys fished hard n w**ded thru a ton a small stuff to get theirs. Not easy but everyome taking home a nice bag of tasty fillets for dinner again! Always a fun crew thanks again guys !!!

Fish Monger Mon & Tues Seabass For both boats

Both boats back at it after couple days off for more wind...not as good after the breeze but working hard to put it together. Mon we headed back to where been filling the box the week prior and it was on the dull side, not enough keepers, took a ride and found better life and size n both boats put together there boxes but it wasnt easy... Tues we waited for the wind to drop out with a later leave...headed back to the same area unfortunately they didnt bite like the day b4... had plenty of action but only made a half of box of keepers ( 65 & 40). Still caught some fish n sent everyone home with dinner but the fishing was grindy n slower for both boats... Seabass is still for dinner tho... Few trigs bluefish bluefish n porgy rounded out the catches

Fish Monger Fri 10/2 Seabass Limits (13 & 9 man) for both boats

Another beautiful day on the water for two more great repeat crews. On the Red boat we had Nick's crew aboard for their crack at seabass and On the Green boat Capt Alex n crew had Mark and friends aboard for the annual Ed's lead remembrance trip!

Both boats found the same type fishing. Load of life n bites but the small fish were brutal. Couldnt stay anywhere to long or they would eat ya out of house n home. Had to do alot of bouncing around hitting alot of spots, had to work hard to get fish for the box. Tons of action, had to grind it and w**d thru the shorts for our keepers. But they added up, slow n steady n by the end of it both boats sent everyone home with another limit of seabass. Couple triggers, couple tog, few small blues n bones rounded it out. Rods bent all day n Tasty fillets for all! Crews earned em today. Had to work harder for em, but in the end another successful day!!! Ed's def smiling down !

Having some fun...Fall grocery shopping!!! 4 for 4 (8 trips) with over 100 man Limit and 1000+ keepers between the boats combined this week and every customer taking home a limit of tasty seabass thus far🔥🔥🔥 fresh seabass is whats for dinner! Passing on tomorow & possible sunday with the wind but will b back at it soon as it settles down! Heres some pics thanks everyone!

Fish Monger Thurs 10/1 Seabass limits (14 & 13 man) for both boats

Hey its October! Another great day on the water with two always fun repeat groups. Troy Fox n a cast on the Red boat and Manasquan fishing club back for round 2 this time on the Green boat with Capt Alex n Paul.

The day started off with drop n reel action n both boats got a nice shot of keepers. The life was very good everywhere we went, loads of action but the shorts were fercious and ya had to wait a few n w**d thru em to get some keepers. Not the lights out like yesterday, picked at em fine tho... Had to work a little harder for what went in the box n it took some hoping around but they added up nicely and the end result was the same for both boats with full boat limit boxes, 27 man worth combined between em. Few Blackfish porgies triggers n blues rounded out the catch. Nice bags of tasty fillets for all again today!!!! Fresh fish its whats for dinner!

Both boats 3 for 3 (6 trips) and 82 man limit worth combined a hell of a way to start the fall. Bites been a little different each day of the 3 but all have seen a lot of life. Hopefully it continues. Will b trying to fill the box everyday the weather lets us until its striper time. Anticipate more porgies to show up n mix in as the month goes on as well!
