Every year, we are proud to participate in the Pocono Mountain West High School Safety Carnival! This event brings together multiple police, fire, emergency response, and trucking agencies to educate students on the importance of safety in all types of real-life situations and incidents.
This year we had the opportunity to demonstrate a system we frequently use in our industry for recovering vehicles and equipment. Using multiple sn**ch blocks and synthetic line we were able to demonstrate how we can break down the weight and mechanical advantage enough for the students to actually pull a vehicle by hand! We even let them have a little tug-of-war to put it to the test.
It was a great way to bring some awareness to our industry and demonstrate the equipment and techniques we use and most importantly interact with the students.
At the end of the day, that’s what it’s truly about
educating and interacting with our community and giving the next generation a little insight into what we do.
We’re always grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a great event!
