Before you hand your keys to any shop — including us — there are five questions worth asking. The answers tell you everything you need to know.
Are you I-CAR certified? It's the industry training standard. Gold certification means every tech meets the highest ongoing requirement. Ask directly.
OEM or aftermarket parts? If the estimate doesn't specify, ask before you sign. The difference matters for fit, finish, and how the vehicle performs if it's ever in another collision. What does your warranty cover and for how long? Get it in writing. Verbal warranties don't hold up. Ours is lifetime, covers our workmanship, and is non-transferable when the vehicle is sold. Who handles the insurance? A shop that works directly with your carrier — including filing supplements for hidden damage — saves you a significant amount of stress. Landon and Dan handle all of it.

The estimate isn't just a number. It's a record of what's damaged, what parts are going in, what the labor covers, and what the finished repair should look like — and knowing how to read it means you're not signing something you don't understand.
Here's what Landon's team looks at with every customer. Labor and parts are separate line items — if the labor hours look unusually low, ask why. Parts should specify OEM or aftermarket — if it just says "parts," ask which kind. Supplements are additions to the original estimate when hidden damage gets found during the repair — a shop that does this right files them with your carrier, not around you.

Most people hand over their keys and assume the right parts are going in. A lot of the time, nobody told them they could ask — or that it matters.
Here's the short version: OEM parts are made specifically for your vehicle by the original manufacturer. They fit right, they finish right, and they perform right in a future collision. Aftermarket parts are made by third parties — lower cost, but the fit and performance can vary, and that variation shows up in panel gaps, paint adhesion, and how the vehicle behaves structurally. Some insurers default to aftermarket to keep claim costs down. You have the right to ask for
OEM — and Landon's team will tell you straight what's going in and why.

Hitting a deer on Highway 15 or 30 is one of those things that happens fast and leaves you standing on the side of the road not sure what to do next. First thing to know: it's almost certainly covered under your comprehensive insurance — not collision — which means it typically doesn't count against your at-fault record.
Second thing to know: wildlife strikes cause more hidden damage than they look like. Frame, radiator, hood supports — a deer hit at highway speed can shift things that aren't visible from the outside.
