Fish Hub a Cape Cod 26 (Albin) CC just got repowered with a Nanni T4.270 after the old Yanmar 6LP 315 dropped a valve during peak fishing season here in Cape Cod Bay. She only suffered one week of down time, happy to be back on the water with the impressive performance of the new Nanni power plant. The T4 easily pushes this hull through the water with the original propeller at only 90% load, hitting the rev limiter at WOT. The customer also noted how quiet and smooth the engine performed compared to the old engine as well as a remarkable fuel burn…..

A borescope is a great tool used to obtain information and gain access to the internals of an engine instead of expensive tear down labor cost for discovery of an issue or failure. Here we are dropping into cylinder 1 on this engine through the injector port to discover an unfortunate dropped valve catastrophe for this old diesel power plant….

Spring launch & seatrial today on this 31 Bertram Flybridge cruiser after a winter twin Nanni T4.270 repower / diesel conversion. She cruised at 26 knots burning just under 10 gallons an hour per side and hit 31 knots at WOT burning 14 you per engine. This is added speed and half the fuel burn compared to the tired old 454 gas engines that once powered this beauty!
