Weekend recap.

Plymouth:
Heat: 3rd to 2nd
Feature: 4th to 1st

Wilmot:
Heat 3rd to 5th
Feature: 16th to 3rd

Friday night our car was on point all night. The win was dedicated to our good friend Dan Piepenburg who passed away last week from cancer.

The rains came Saturday afternoon at Wilmot which led to a heavy fast track. Unfortunately we got spun around in the heat. Negative passing points handicapped us to a 16th starting spot. Patience and a couple good moves got us to the front where we were hot on 2nd place but unable to advance any further. Congratulations to Berth Racing on their first win of the season!

Team35 sends it condolences to Sherry Okler Piepenburg. Her husband Dan lost his battle with cancer late last night. Dan was a great friend and husband, and also an avid race fan who we have got to know over the years. You could always find him Saturday nights tailgating in the parking lot, and later in section A wearing his 35 tshirt. Godspeed Dan, til we meet again 🙏

Plymouth results 8/20

Qualifying: 7th in group
Heat: 7th ➡️ 4th
Feature: 8th ➡️ 6th

Struggled a bit all night after rebuilding the car from the previous week. Ran inside the top 5 until the car started losing grip and got passed on the last lap and finished 6th.

Plymouth results 8/22

Qualifying: 2nd in group
Heat: 3rd ➡️ 2nd
Feature: 1st ➡️ 1st

Much better night. Put ourselves in position to make the invert and started pole. Led every lap on our way to win #8 on the year!! Thanks to Custom Craft trophy for the trophy!

Next up: Plymouth Friday 8/28. Wilmot 8/29
