Just got home from spending a fun week in wet at times, chilly and beautiful Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin! Road America will always be a favorite of mine, whether things go our way or not. After three years, this was the last year the SCCA Runoffs were held there (for the foreseeable future anyway) and we really wanted to walk out of there with a win. The field this year was fast. Like really fast. We gave it our all and brought home a very hard fought 5th place finish, which I’m very pleased with all things considered. Big congrats to Josh Schmidt for bringing home the championship and repping the Chevy bow tie well!!
It’s been a tough year for us, more racing lows than highs. But that’s how it goes in this sport! We’ve got us a new/old car that showed reliability all weekend which was refreshing. A couple more small tweaks and I think we’re going to be in good shape. I’d like to thank Scott Bennett for all the hard work and time he’s put into this season to keep the show on the road. He had his work cut out about every weekend, but he put his head down and did the work. The car kept him busy and he kept grinding. Thanks SO MUCH for everything!
We may have a surprise or two left in our bag, so stay tuned! Meanwhile enjoy some of the very few photos from our time there! We should have some cool on track pictures coming soon.
