Applicants will assist GAP in the management of operations mainly assisting GAP partners (customers), in-person and on-the-phone, in finding solutions to their automotive problems; including but not limited to assisting in the identification, selection, and delivery of automotive parts, accessories, tires, tools, body parts and other auto related items.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Opening and/or closing of store, including, but not limited to the processing of beginning/end-of-day reports as required by GAP and completion of daily deposits.
• Assist GAP partners (customers) in finding parts, accessories, tires, tools, equipment, body parts, and/or any item, within GAP’s inventory, and from 3rd party outside vendors.
• Regularly assist in inventory audits and or checks, including but not limited to the receiving and stocking of weekly merchandise, and the returning of cores and defective merchandise.
• Keep retail, and warehouse, area clean and tidy, and perform work in accordance to safety standards.
• Dispose of all fluids, and cores/defective parts, in a safe manner and in accordance with all regulations.
• Must be proficient in using personal computers, including but not limited to: online automotive catalogues and webpages, word processing applications.
• Aid in the maintaining of GAP’s relationships with its partners including, but not limited to: onsite visits, paid after-hours special events, initial and follow-up sales calls, delivery to customer’s place of business.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High School Diploma or GED; will consider 3+ years of related work experience in lieu of a High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 - 5 years of retail or equivalent work experience, vehicle repair experience and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and safe driving record required.
• Must meet all eligibility requirements for employment within the United States.
• Must pass pre-employment criminal background and drug/alcohol screenings.
• If applying with automotive repair experience, must be able to demonstrate A.S.E. Automotive or Truck Certification, or other related certifications.
