POWER OUTAGE 5/14 UPDATES! 🔌⚡️

From Entergy:
80% of St Gabriel’s power has been restored. Bayou Paul Lane and Pecan Dr and other areas sustained major storm activity with heavy damage to Entergy’s equipment. Approximate 10 crews worked in those areas today and will continue restoring into tomorrow. Some customers will not receive power until Thursday in those areas.

Plaquemine High and 573 customers should be back and operating with power. North Iberville School and surrounding area should be back on by tonight. Crews will go back and take care of more one-off customers. But majority who can take power for these two locations will get it back tonight.

Crescent area had 40 poles down. It's not expected to be back on until Thursday. We will have a better update tomorrow for that area. Iberville Parish as of 5pm has 2,790 customers still out.

From PC Electric:
Bayou Sorrel should be on within hour, if not already. The last tree they are waiting to be cut is by Dales Trading Post. They are working on Plaquemine circuits today and have multiple extra crews coming in tonight to jump on Gross tete and Plaquemine meter points tomorrow.

**UPDATE**

*Entergy Officials are advising that all power should be restored, if you are still without power, please call 1-800-ENTERGY (368-3749) to report an outage.*

Our office has been notified that Entergy is experiencing a large power outage in our area. They have advised us this is due to a transmission line going down. This line feeds the substations in our area. There is no estimated time of restoration at this moment.

We will post updates as they become available.

THIS IS A MESSAGE FROM THE IBERVILLE PARISH UTILITY DEPARTMENT. DUE TO A BROKEN WATER MAIN IBERVILLE PARISH INTRACOASTAL WATER SYSTEM WEST CUSTOMERS MAY EXPERIENCE LOW TO NO WATER PRESSURE. DPW CREWS ARE ON SCENE WORKING TO MAKE THE NECESSARY REPAIRS. WE APPRECIATE YOUR PATIENCE AND COOPERATION. WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS MAY CAUSE.

We have received multiple calls regarding the current flooding around Iberville Parish, and the affect it could possibly have on the park. Our location is not included in the mandatory evacuation, and is not expected to be impacted by the rising water. Currently no evacuation is required. We will update if anything changes.

**UPDATE** The line has been repaired, it may take up to 30 mins for the lines to build up pressure! *BOIL WATER ADVISORY IN PLACE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE*.

We are currently experiencing a water leak effecting the Intracoastal West Water System. DPW crews are on scene working to make the necessary repairs. As a result, customers may experience little to no water pressure.

Once water is restored, there will be a boil water advisory in place until water samples can be tested.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
