How are you cleaning your polishing pads?
For the longest time, the sink seemed like the easiest option, but after using a dedicated pad washer, there's no comparison. It does a much better job of removing built-up polish and compound, helps extend the life of your foam and wool pads, and keeps them performing better from one job to the next.
