We have a MX4 topper available with rails. Brand new other than the few small dents. Removed from a 2026 GMC Sierra with a 5’7” box. It has 4-5 hail dents that are hard to even see with the texture on top.

🚗 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐲… 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐮𝐭.

At first glance, this 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐂𝐑-𝐕 liftgate had what looked like a simple 4-inch crease.

What you couldn’t see was that the impact occurred directly over a reinforcement brace inside the liftgate. That stretched the metal and left almost no access to the backside of the dent.

Most people—and even many technicians—would assume this needs conventional body work and paint.

𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞.

After carefully disassembling interior components, I was able to gain just enough access to work behind the dent, shrink the stretched metal, and restore the panel using Paintless Dent Repair.

The result?
