A few reminders for our racers, one NEW rule we are adding is in under #1- we will give some grace but would like all karts to add the number/number plate to their karts no later than the end of June please. These are not punishment or pointing fingers, just friendly reminders so we are all on the same page. Any questions, please reach out.
1. Safety and Equipment
All drivers must wear full safety gear: helmet, closed-toe shoes, gloves, neck restraint, and fitted clothing
No loose clothing or unsafe gear is allowed; staff may inspect and reject unsafe equipment- helmets must fit properly and must meet track safety standards
NEW: all karts in all classes will need to have the kart number posted on a number plate attached to the rear bumper, or a clearly visible sticker on the back of the seat for scoring purposes.
2. Track and Pit Area Conduct
Spectators and crew must stay in designated areas; entry into the track area is prohibited unless authorized
Tow vehicles and spectators should enter and exit the facility in a safe manner, no speeding or driving at excessive speeds when entering or exiting.
3. Flag Signals and Race Etiquette
Green: Race/practice underway.
Yellow: Slow down, danger ahead.
Red: Stop immediately, clear the track.
Black: Infraction or equipment violation; must complete a lap and go to pits
Checkered: End of session; return under control
Please make sure that you as drivers know the above and if you have children racing, please educate them and make sure they know the flags and what they mean.
4. Driver Responsibilities
Keep both hands on the steering wheel at all times.
If a kart stalls, slow down, raise a hand, and move to a safe position at least 10 feet off the track
Never get out of the kart unless directed by a race official
Violations can lead to disqualification, fines, or removal from the event
