We all saw this old van before I had done any work to it. I got a large chunk of the welding repairs done and I dropped the spare, blasted it, and painted it today. This car has 272,000 miles on it (odometer didn’t work for over a year, so it likely has more). I drive 60 miles a day to work and back through the city of Pittsfield and through northern Berkshire county MA to our home in Vermont. It’s so much fun to drive and easily the most reliable and economical car I’ve owned. Due to expanding my work, I’ll be buying a V8 Chevy van equipped with a tool box and more tools I can carry in my small civic. I’m looking forward to being able to better serve the tri-state area of MA, NY, and VT! Also in the works is an equipped carport and garage at my home so I can store and work on vehicles over a period of several days.

Trans drain and fill on a 2007 Chevy cobalt. I use only high performance fluids that rated for the specific transmission I’m working on. The one in the car likely had the factory fluid, so these high performance synthetics will make a big difference in how long the unit lasts.

Transmission fluid and filter change on a 2013 Toyota Corolla. I used Royal Purple full synthetic ATF to replace the original Toyota type 4. Before using Royal Purple, I checked their data sheet to confirm it is compatible with that vehicle. Synthetics will keep the transmission cooler and prevent premature wear.
