It’s our dog of the week from Berkshire Humane Society! 🐾

Have a ball with this energetic nugget! Meet Dino Nugget, a 1-year-old Jack Russell Terrier/Maltese mix who's one active little dude. He'd make an awesome sport dog for an experienced, adult-only adopter. Dino Nugget is incredibly smart and food-motivated, with a willingness to learn. He'd thrive in a home with an equally active person who can provide him with an outlet for his outstanding energy levels. Once his needs are met, he's happy to soak up all the love and cuddles from his human friends. His new adopter will need to work on his house training, but considering he's a fast learner, it should be a breeze. Dino Nugget likes other dogs but tends to come on strong, personality-wise, so pending a successful meet and greet, he could potentially live with another dog who is OK with his play style. He's a vocal boy, so he'll need to live in a home without shared walls and no children for this bouncy boy.

It’s our dog of the week from Berkshire Humane Society! 🐾

Lyra is looking for love with you! This sweet 8-month-old American Pitbull Terrier mix would love a home where her new family will show her the world isn't such a scary place. Having not been exposed to much in her young life, she tends to be shy initially but warms up quickly to new people. Lyra enjoys affection and quiet attention from her human friends and will need patient adopters who will let her acclimate at her pace. She will need to work on house training, leash manners, basic obedience, and would benefit from crate training. Her adopter is eligible for a discounted Level One Manners class at the shelter's own Family Dog School. Although Lyra is comfortable having playdates with large dogs, she'll need to be the only dog in her new home. She can, however, live with dog-savvy cats and respectful children aged 10+.
