There’s nothing quite like a deep navy hull when it’s dialed in. This beautiful Cruisers 300 Express came in already in great shape—the owner has been great with his maintenance. While a standard 3-step detail would have looked "clean," we decided to push for that true mirror finish. 🛥️🛥️🛥️ 💪😎👍
The Process:
Step 1️⃣: Heavy cut compound to level any scratches, scuffs & haze
w/ Starke Level R
Step 2️⃣: Medium cut to bring out the depth of that blue pigment
w/ Starke Elevate
Step 3️⃣: Polish for maximum clarity and reflection.
w/ Starke Triple P
Step 4️⃣: Premium SiO2 polymer sealant to protect from oxidation
w/ Jescar Ultra Lock Plus
The result?
A hull so deep you could lose yourself in it. Another one ready for the water!
Pro Tip‼️
Please STOP 🛑 using traditional carnauba waxes as your primary protection. Traditional wax has a low melting point and actually breaks down quickly on a hot hull. That’s why every professional detailer is moving toward POLYMER SEALANTS to protect their clients' boats.
For me, I only use Jescar Ultra Lock Plus (FYI: I have no affiliation or compensation; I just trust the results). It’s a polymer/SiO2 hybrid. It’s the perfect middle ground between a sealant and a ceramic coating, which is exactly why that blue hull is going to stay "wet" looking for so long.
