📚 Today, the Rig Ready team traded our inspection tools for notebooks at America’s Largest RV Show in Hershey!
Today and tomorrow are Industry Days—an opportunity for RV professionals to sharpen their skills before the public show begins.
Today’s classes covered:
⚡ Troubleshooting 120-volt and 12-volt electrical issues
🏠 Identifying RV roof problems and selecting the proper sealants
🔌 The new Grounding Monitor Interrupter—or GMI—requirement for model year 2028 RVs
A GMI is an important safety device that checks for a proper ground connection before allowing electricity into the RV. If the ground connection is lost, it shuts off the power to help protect against a dangerous “hot-skin” condition.
RV technology and safety standards continue to evolve, and so do we. Continuing education helps us know what to look for, understand why it matters and provide our clients with the most thorough, informed inspections possible.
Of course, spending the day surrounded by RVs isn’t exactly a hardship for us! 😄 More education tomorrow—and plenty of new RVs to explore.
