Dedicated to the 1970 - 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme SX The Oldsmobile Cutlass SX was produced for two years only - 1970 and 1971.

It is a rare Oldsmobile Muscle car.

This nice looking driver quality SX was a recent no-sale at $17 on Cars and Bids. This Astro Blue car with build sheet was not in the SX registry yet (but is now). Originally a 2 barrel L-33 car with a white vinyl top, it is probably rock solid being an Oregon car. It has PUI door panels and probably the seat covers too - lots of untouched worn interior components and not the greatest job minding the details on what they DID replace. It's all correctable though. Hope it finally found a good new owner! If it's yours, please let us know so we can put a name with the car.

Terry here: This popped up on another Olds FB group today (8/31). I will be looking at what black 71 hardtops we have in the registry to see if any came from the West Coast, but I figured I would post it in case someone recognizes it or has other potential leads. Thanks.

Hi everyone - We're posing a question to get input for one of our new SX455.com members, Joella. Joella is at a crossroads with needing a transmission repair. She currently has a TH400 with a Gear Vendors overdrive and wants to know if anyone has replaced the TH400 with a 700r4 with mods. The other option for built in overdrive would be a 2004r built right (this bolt pattern fits, the 700r4 does not without an adapter). Any input based on real-world experiences with any of these setups would be appreciated. Thanks.

The Cutlass Supreme SX Club sponsored the 1970–72 Performance (Open) Class at the OCA Nationals in Indy this week. Congratulations to class winner Jim Ghedi! (Thanks to Tom Aukzemas for sending the photo.) SX club co-manager Terry Divelbliss will be at the Hurst/Olds Club Nationals in Cleveland in two weeks with his ‘72 H/O sunroof car. If any of you plan to be there, please let us know!

Hi everyone - Just a heads up that SX455 com-manager Alan Reedy will be at the OCA Nationals in Indianapolis later this week. Please look him up if you are going to be there. SX455.com is sponsoring one of the show/judging classes at the event. SX455 co-manager Terry Divelbliss will be at the Hurst/Olds Nationals in Cleveland with his '72 H/O sunroof car on August 7-8. Let us know if you'll be attending either event and we can meet up!

Thought this was a really nice post today from Lupe. Here’s more info: “My friends name was John and we grew up in a small town called Marengo in Northern Illinois...The Cutlass was a dark green with dark green interior...Legend has it the car is still around in some barn or garage...I wish I had the resources for a full restoration but unfortunately not 😪😪” Thanks for sharing, Lupe!

Nice looking one owner car just listed in Texas. Not my car - but that Azure Blue /bright blue combo with the Dual Gate is sexy in my book! Reach out to Matthew if interested. I’ve asked him for info to add the car to the registry.

We recently had another SX455.com "success story". It's not the flashiest club to belong to, but Alan and I maintain a lot of history and info on these cars to provide it for new and long-time owners whenever we can. New member Dan F. from Texas joined and we were able to give him some info about his car that pre-dated his purchase of the car from NC in 2005 via Ebay. Better yet, he recognized it in our "MIA" cars page and we were able to connect the dots. We're happy to have so many followers on this page and appreciate you all. Having members who support our efforts through the SX455.com website and actual club keeps the website and our behind-the-scenes data collection and research efforts going after almost 20 years. We're adding more cars and listings and data weekly. We're also investigating new ways to make more of the info public facing and searchable to members without violating owner privacy. Thanks to all of you!

Ouch! Saw this on another FB Olds page today (Friday 1/9). From his small profile pic, it looks like it has SX fender badges. In any case, thought someone here may have '70 parts in the Southeastern U.S. that would help Austin get his car back on the road.

1970 Rallye Red non-A/C convertible for sale near Cleveland. Not my car, no affiliation. Just posting in case someone is looking for one to restore. Facebook won't let this page link directly to marketplace, but you should be able to find the ad with a search. I've already reached out to the seller for more details. (thanks to David Nicol for the heads-up.)
