Hi everyone - We're posing a question to get input for one of our new SX455.com members, Joella. Joella is at a crossroads with needing a transmission repair. She currently has a TH400 with a Gear Vendors overdrive and wants to know if anyone has replaced the TH400 with a 700r4 with mods. The other option for built in overdrive would be a 2004r built right (this bolt pattern fits, the 700r4 does not without an adapter). Any input based on real-world experiences with any of these setups would be appreciated. Thanks.

The Cutlass Supreme SX Club sponsored the 1970–72 Performance (Open) Class at the OCA Nationals in Indy this week. Congratulations to class winner Jim Ghedi! (Thanks to Tom Aukzemas for sending the photo.) SX club co-manager Terry Divelbliss will be at the Hurst/Olds Club Nationals in Cleveland in two weeks with his ‘72 H/O sunroof car. If any of you plan to be there, please let us know!

Hi everyone - Just a heads up that SX455 com-manager Alan Reedy will be at the OCA Nationals in Indianapolis later this week. Please look him up if you are going to be there. SX455.com is sponsoring one of the show/judging classes at the event. SX455 co-manager Terry Divelbliss will be at the Hurst/Olds Nationals in Cleveland with his '72 H/O sunroof car on August 7-8. Thought this was a really nice post today from Lupe. Here’s more info: “My friends name was John and we grew up in a small town called Marengo in Northern Illinois...The Cutlass was a dark green with dark green interior...Legend has it the car is still around in some barn or garage...I wish I had the resources for a full restoration but unfortunately not 😪😪” Thanks for sharing, Lupe!

We recently had another SX455.com "success story". It's not the flashiest club to belong to, but Alan and I maintain a lot of history and info on these cars to provide it for new and long-time owners whenever we can. New member Dan F. from Texas joined and we were able to give him some info about his car that pre-dated his purchase of the car from NC in 2005 via Ebay. Better yet, he recognized it in our "MIA" cars page and we were able to connect the dots. We're happy to have so many followers on this page and appreciate you all. Having members who support our efforts through the SX455.com website and actual club keeps the website and our behind-the-scenes data collection and research efforts going after almost 20 years. We're adding more cars and listings and data weekly. We're also investigating new ways to make more of the info public facing and searchable to members without violating owner privacy. Thanks to all of you!

Ouch! Saw this on another FB Olds page today (Friday 1/9). From his small profile pic, it looks like it has SX fender badges. In any case, thought someone here may have '70 parts in the Southeastern U.S. that would help Austin get his car back on the road.

SX455 Club managers Terry and Alan crossed paths at MCACN 2025 in Chicago last weekend. What an amazing event as always. We met with so many of our longtime Olds friends and some SX455 club members, and there were others there that we missed. The show is so large and such a whirlwind that it's hard to catch everyone. Can't wait for next year!

Terry and Alan will be at the Musclecar and Corvette Nationals in Rosemont, IL this weekend. It's always an unbelievable event with amazing history, rarity and quality all around. Will we see any of our SX455 members or page followers at MCACN?
