Prime example of a cheap mechanic will cost you more. Customer had a shop install “new” aftermarket Bosch injectors. Every single injector was used and NONE of them were coded for their fuel quantities.

1092-1995 Mercedes engine wiring harness are ALL biodegradable. If you have one you should really check, milage doesn’t matter as time is the enemy. This is an extremely low milage SL600.

Mercedes OEM tire are Continental DWS. These particular tires have the letters “DWS” written on them. However it is not for what you would assume. The “D” stands for dry, the “W” stands for wet, and the “S” stands for snow. As the tire wears down each letter will start to disappear. This is to let you know that if the “s” is no longer visible that the tire would not perform well in snow. If the “w” is gone then the tire would no longer perform in wet conditions, and if the “D” is gone then you probably need new tires. Easy way of telling if your tire will hold during winter, or wet conditions.

W204 C300 came in with steering lock issues. Luckily the motor still worked a little and i was able to just replace her motor vs getting an emulator or a whole new steering lock. If you have a W204 they all have this same style lock, if yours is giving issues get it fixed before it completely fails as it will save some money.

Had a customer that attempted to do this job themselves (not on this car, this a a R230 SL500) on a W211 E320. Took them 2 days to get it out and they destroyed a lot of the surrounding area. This took about 15-20 minutes of working it out as I’ve done 100’s of them. Sometimes it’s not the time you’re paying for but the skill to do said job.

This driveshaft u joint, which is found on almost every 4matic with a 722.9 (excluding SUV’s but not crossovers) is a ticking time bomb. They will all go bad eventually, and when it does it can destroy either the transmission casing, engine casing, catalytic converter, 2 of the 3 or all 3. Earliest I’ve seen one fail was at 84,000 miles. Call today if you haven’t had yours looked at or replaced. It will cost A LOT more if you wait until it fails.
