The Silver Plume General Store is located in the heart of the Gunnison National Forest in the town of Pitkin, Colorado. The store provides lodging, ATV rentals, supplies, and friendly information about the area and activities. We also have the Silver Plume Grill, where we serve great food from 11:00am to 6:00PM!

Cumberland Pass is open, the earliest in at least 15 years! See below for details. We might have worn our volunteers out with the longest shoveling expedition we've ever had, but we got it done. Thank you so much to everyone who came and helped! I know it's back breaking work and the effort is much appreciated!

Due to the sheer amount of snow shoveled, it is just wide enough for big utvs (78ish inches wide). And make sure you have plenty of tire and clearance as we had to leave a bit of snow in the middle.

Picture for attention! It's time to go shoveling! We will meet tomorrow (Tuesday 5/19/26) at 9:30am at the store and plan to leave at 10am. Bring a shovel and some snacks/water. We should have enough seats for everyone to ride, but bring your machine if you can!

(pro tip: metal shovels work the best to break it up and move snow)
