-USVTA rules will be followed with exception of the driver figure and car numbers.

Everybody gets together and races anything remote controlled, from 1/12 scale-1/8 scale buggies, trans-am, touring cars, and pan cars. Classes that will be raced include*:
1/12th Stock
1/12th Super Stock (Not raced in Sawyer regularly due to smaller track conditions)
WGT (discussing possibility of running 17.5 motor in sawyer)
VTA
USGT
F1
Novice

*Pending enough cars to run the class

-17.5 ROAR approved motor, 1s lipo, speed control set to "blinky" mode, minimum weight 730 grams, 3mm ride height

1/12th Super Stock
-13.5 ROAR approved motor, 1s lipo, speed control set to "blinky" mode, minimum weight of 730 grams, 3mm ride height

WGT

*This class may be changing to World GT-R this year. You DO NOT need to have a driver figure or car numbers on all four sides. Another notable change is that any ROAR approved speed control set to blinky will be allowed. That is an amendment made in June of 2014 to the USVTA rules. -USGT rules are listed at the bottom of the page under the USVTA link. ROAR approved 21.5 motor, hard case 2s lipo, 1450 gram minimum weight, sports car body

F1
-21.5 ROAR approved motor, 2s lipo (shorty or standard) F1 specific tires and body, 1/10th scale F1 pan car style chassis, minimum weight of 1050 grams,

Novice class:
Trying to get some of the younger group going on this. Run what you brung type of class, 4 minute qualifiers, is exempt from rule of needing 4. if there are two kids we will run it to try and get them some track time.

Hey guys I have been working on some new tire holders available for 1/12 and 1/10 Touong/VTA. They come in any color you would like and are super lightweight and fully come apart for easy travel. The 1/12 scale version holds 6 full set of tires and the 1/10 scale version hold 4 full sets The rods have a disk on the bottom and a push nut on the top to secure the tires for easy transport. I will be in Minot for the Northstar Classic or can ship them to you. Let me know if you are interested in one.

Wow what a weekend of racing we had. With a huge turnout of 72 racers with 148 entry’s it was the second largest race I have ever had. Thank you to all the racers and families for coming and supporting us so we can keep our local track open. Here are the podium and other picures Sorry it took so long to post these but the sickness that everyone got did not skip my house.

We are already working on a schedule for next years race so stay tuned.

Once again thank you so much for the support of this amazing race.

Good morning racers here is the flyer for 2026 Carpet wars presented by Dumpers Speed Shop, PRCP Raceway and Spirit Lake Casino. A huge shout out to Brian Wynn for being this year‘s title sponsor. We once again have Jared Bardin coming in to be our race director. He did an amazing job last year and I don’t expect anything but the best again With the incredible turnout we had last year filling all 70 spots. I have increased the pit spots to 80 this year, so make sure you PayPal your first entry and let me know what additional classes that you will be running and they can be paid for at the event. All classes are required to have at least five entries to be ran and if you don’t see a class that you wanna run, let me know. the locker rooms is set up under Carpet wars so get your room reserved now.

This year I will be issuing refunds up to two weeks before the event starts after that no refunds will be issued.

We hope you will come racing with us again this year and help support one of the biggest races in the region.

Good afternoon racers sorry I am late getting this out there but our monthly races are going to be the first Saturday of every month except for January. Racing starts at 10:30 at the farm

The Casino race is scheduled for January 9-11 2026 so mark your calendars for a great race. I will have the official race flyer out soon with pre registration

Hey racers, we are racing tomorrow. I will be at the farm at 8 and start pushing snow. Currently, it is lightly snowing. The roads are snow covered in spots and we are supposed to get a couple more inches of snow overnight. I am not going to cancel tomorrow if we do not have enough people to race. It’ll be a practice day. I will have frozen pizzas for everyone tomorrow. Let me know if you’re gonna plan on making the trip. See everybody in the morning.

Wow what a weekend of great racing and great friends. A huge thank you to everyone who showed up to make this the biggest race for PRCP since 2013. With 71 racers and 143 entries in 10 classes it led to one of the most competitive races in a longtime. Thanks to Jared Bardin for announcing this year, he definitely takes the event to another level. Brian Wynn with Dumpers Speed shop was here again showing his support for our racing community. Thank you so much to my crew that helps me get things set up and tore down Adam Balk, Troy and Kyle Fisher, Ryan Strankowski, Kevin Anthony, Justin Hengelfelt, Zac gadberry, Lowell and the entire Fort Colin’s crew, and everyone else that lended a hand. Here are the podium pics from the weekend. Carpet Wars will be back in January 2026 so mark your calendars we will be increasing the racers count to 80 next year.

Good morning everybody well we are one day away from set up and everything is looking great. Here is the updated entry list for everyone to see we will be at the casino probably between 11 and noon tomorrow and start set up. Hope everybody has a safe trip and see everybody this weekend.
